Which one?

Soooo, the couch is our next big purchase, hopefully within the next few weeks. But I am having a dilemma. I think I know kind of the style I want, but what color (so that it looks good with the walls, but doesn't blend in and won't be too light for kids dirty hands) and what style do you think? Luke wants a sectional cause it is longer and cooler. Do you think it would look good in this right corner? (that is another problem, I think some of the couches I want don't come in the right side, only left... ugh!) Or would there be too much room left over in the rest of the living room? Please tell me your input...

My favorite, do you think the sage would look good with the brown walls? Don't know if this one comes in the right side though...

Like the sage only a lighter color, but I am hoping not too light...

I really like this style if we don't do a sectional, but do you think the chocolate would be too dark for our already brown rooms? This also comes in an off white but I think that would be too light.

I like this one plus it is sage, but it is a little more boring than the first and no foot rest

Puffy = comfy (I hope)... also comes in chocolate color

Sage but kind of a plain couch

So speak your mind, let me know what you think? And don't forget to look at the pictures of the rest of the house... below!

I like the first one. I think the green will look really nice. We have a sectional and we love it. (The microfiber is great!) It should come in every possible combination so you can order it to fit perfectly in that spot. (Making it longer or shorter or even ordering a separate loveseat to match if you have too much space left over.)

I like the first one-in green. We have about the same color walls and I think that it would work because I have a sage green chair that I think looks good. It looks to me like the chaise part you can separate and move to the other side too, so it should be able to go either right or left-if that makes any sense. So excited for your first house, congrats!

Yes. So, I can't quite remember exactly how dark your walls are, but I think a lighter color would be good--just get microfiber or whatever it is that you can easily clean. The sage seems like it would blend in too much. If the walls are lighter than I remember, than the Dark brown one is best. There you have it. My 2 bits.

I just have to tell you that we just bought a couch almost exactly like the second one (same coloring and same style) and totally love it. As far as what colors would be best for you, not sure. But, we love our couch, I can't say it enough.

We love our sectional, I'd totally recommend one. Our couches are in the lighter color, and we have noticed that it gets dirty easier, but it's microfiber so it cleans up really well. Good lick with the decisions. New couches are so much fun!

Personally I like having a dark colored couch with my kids. It hides stains which is something you are going to have to worry about in the future. Make sure the cushions are removable and that the slipcovers are machine washable. If you pick a dark colored couch, like the chocolate brown, just buy lighter pillows to go with it and use light colored curtains. The good thing about pillows is that it's a cheap way to update or change the look of your room without costing a lot of money.

We bought a sectional and it is nice but was much bigger than we remember in the store. I wish now that we bought a sofa/loveseat combo. As far as colors go, I think any of them will go well....as the salesman in the store said, you can always accessorize with pillow, throws, etc to break up the colors.

If you're really set on brown walls, definitely the first sage set. LOVE them! But my favorite would have to be the chocolate brown set with lighter (like tan) walls. MY FAVORITE! Love it!

Umm . . . probably the cheapest one? Just kidding.

Definitely the first or the last. My mother-in-law and I both agree. But we both really dislike the pillows on the first couch. Would the chaise be too long for the wall that has the bookcase on it? I think it would be so cute and cozy in that little corner. We like the last one also because of the flexibility it would allow you in rearranging your living room. Plain couches aren't bad when you add fun accessories. ;)

PS: We bought a lighter sofa not long before we got pregnant with Cora...MISTAKE!

I like the first sage green couch the best and think it would go great with your walls!

I like the idea of green because it brings a color into that room which seems to be all sorta the same color (carpet and walls). I personally don't like microfiber because it's static-y and will make your hair completely stick up if you sit on it. Also, with the Chaise longue (the one that has the footrest attached), make sure you for sure want that instead of just an ottoman you can move around to any seat you want.
I really like the last one. And as a couple people have said you could buy some interesting pillows to spice up the room a bit if you want.
One last little bit: Puffy doesn't always mean comfy. A friend of mine got these really puffy couches and they are puffy in all the wrong places and kind of make you sit in a C shape, which is really uncomfortable after a while. Make sure to sit in the couch for at least 10 minutes before you buy it.

so here it is...I think it is best to go pretty neutral with furniture, carpet, and wall color because you can always dress up with curtains, pillows, and accessories in all sorts of bright colors. And that way you can even change them out form spring to fall for 2 different looks. Keep in mind too that if you are going to put up artwork what colors they have in and you could use those colors as an accent to everything and it will highlight that part of the art more. good luck Ultimately choose what you like

I might be to lat with my little comment. What ever you do get micro fiber. It doesnt mater what style your sofa looks like if you can't get your two year olds art work off it!
Good luck
