long post

Okay so here is the update so many people have been bugging me for... just kidding, I am glad to put it up. But I will have you know I really haven't grown very much... Everybody I talk to says I am so small for 18 (4.5 months) weeks. Well, since I have never been pregnant, I don't know but also I was expecting to show a lot sooner and I am a bit disappointed because I have wanted this tummy. Right now, it basically looks like even bigger fat, because I have filled out my waist area and now there is nowhere else to go but out, so here it comes. I suspect I will really start to grow within the next few weeks, we will see. My doctor has said at the last two appointments, "Next time you come you will have to unbutton your top button on your pants." Well, I am two weeks away from my next appointment and my pants still have a ways to go until I have to unbutton them, but who knows, I might just get HUGE in two weeks. Also, the first picture is blurry and not that good to see, so I put up a bare stomach one, which don't expect that often cause I like my tummy in my shirt, but it showed my stomach a little better so I stuck it up.
In two weeks we are also able to find out what the sex is (and I will be half way done), but really I don't want to find out what the sex is... I want a surprise. But Luke definitely wants to know so I told him if he finds out then he is not allowed to tell ANYONE!!!! So don't even try to get it out of him. Of course there is a part of me that does want to know, but I am just eager for the surprise. I might just give in though because if Luke knows I am pretty sure it will accidentally slip so maybe instead of me getting mad when it does slip I will find out too but so far the secret side is winning... we shall see huh! Also, the past two weeks have been much better with morning sickness, although if I don't eat for awhile it all comes back, so I need to make sure and snack all the time. Also, people keep asking me if I have felt it kick... well I have no idea. I don't know what it feels like. People tell me gas bubbles but what do gas bubbles feel like. I have felt some tickles across my belly so maybe that is it, I have no idea!
What else to say since it has been awhile from my last post... Oh, I totally burnt myself about two weeks ago with the curling iron, but the funniest part was that it was on my chin, not normally a place close to hair. It hurt and scabbed over and looked horrible and people who didn't know what happen were always glancing at it and giving me weird looks. I took a picture but the day right after the scab came off so it looked much better, but I will post it anyways for the fun of it. You can still see a trace of red on my chin if you look closely so I hope that goes away with time, otherwise now I have a new scar. And Happy Birthday to Dallin!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the big 1 today and so cute. He is our nephew on Luke's side. Also, on Luke's side the 15 grandchild was born today so welcome to the world Riley! Can't wait to see you and congrats to Lane and Jodi and girls! And lastly, I just want to give my condolences to my friend Riana's family. She has had cancer for a few years and was in treatment when she passed away yesterday. At least she is not hurting anymore but we will miss her!

It takes awhile to to get the belly. I think I was around 28 weeks when I really popped out. Don't worry it will come.

Don't worry Rachel it will come I was like 26 weeks along when mine came, and then everybody and their dog asks me about my pregnancy now. Even still now i'm small for being as far along as I am, or so all the old ladies and everybody says. LOL

You look adorable. You'll get big in time. And on your next baby, the belly will come sooner (sometimes much sooner than you expect).

That is a tiny little cute belly! It will come! Don't worry.

If you eat it (the twinkie that is.), it will come. Ha ha.

Rachey, You're belly will be so big in no time. You'll probably look back at this post when you're nine months pregnant and laugh at yourself, because you will be tired of lugging around such a big one!

Thanks for FINALLY showin' us the belly! Keep it up, huh?

I know what you mean, the first pregnancy I had no idea what it was going to feel like when the baby kicked so I didn't feel anything for a long time (21 weeks I think). But with Olivia I could tell around 16 weeks. When he (I think it's going to be a boy) does kick, you'll definitely know it.

As far as the belly, I echo others' sentiments: it will come. Although of course you're always slower with your first. I was actually wearing my regular jeans right up until the day I had Wes, with the top button held together with a hairtie of course. With Olivia, I think I barely got past the ultrasound before I had to don the maternity pants.

You look happy and healthy! We're so happy for you!

I was so excited to get a big belly when I was pregnant. But someone gave me this advice- don't wear the maternity clothes until you absolutely have to because you will be totally tired of them by the end (I guess unless you get tons of clothes, but I just got the necessities).

You are SOOOO little! But like everyone says, with your first you don't *really* pop till like 6 or 7 months. I was wearing normal pants until 6 months and then all of a sudden at 7 months, I exploded! Enjoy it! When do you find out the sex?

Hej,

Congratulations on having a tiny belly. I'm not even sure why you long for it to be big. I would bask in the littleness as long as I possibly could (which is probably likely to last about a week considering my central European pregnancygenes, sigh.)!

Hi Rach! Ditto to everyone, the last four weeks of your pregnancy you will especially be wishing you were little again. But you'll be one of those that will bounce right back to their pre-prego weight and clothes. Sigh. For me, when I felt Charlie "kick" it felt like a "twitch"...you know the kind you might get in your eyelid? I think I was 17 weeks...anyways, hope things still go well for you!!

It's your first baby, it'll take awhile for your belly to pop out. The second one comes shows way sooner though. You do look very cute!
