the BIG announcement!!!

Well, I guess it is about time and also I am sure most of you might have suspected it was coming soon, but we are buying a house..... da da da! JUST JOKING! Yes, yes, yes, we are pregnant and I am about 12.5 weeks along (that is about 3 months for those who were like me and didn't work in weeks). It hasn't been terrible but I do get nauseated quite a bit if I am not eating something. It used to be every 2-3 hours, now it seems like every 30 minutes I have to eat. I thought they said this was supposed to get easier as time went on. But I am happy to say I haven't thrown up once, NOT ONCE (knock on wood)! Amazing! But I have come close quite a few times and that was not fun either, but throwing up is much worse! You all know how much I can pack away, well at the beginning of the pregnancy I still felt starved like I always do but I couldn't seem to eat very much otherwise I would start gagging! WEIRD! I tell ya, pregnancy really does weird things to you. I haven't really gained much weight, like a pound or two, but my stomach region has gotten a little bigger but that is only the beginning. I actually wish it would come a lot faster because I have always wanted to have a prego belly and it just looks like I have chubbs right now, which is mostly what it is, but we are very excited. I will post pictures tomorrow of the ultrasound I had at 7-8 weeks (which looks like a little blob, but that is all I have for now) and the picture of me and my chubbs of a belly. I went to the doctor today and heard the heart beat so there is really a baby inside and it is weird to think about but we are so excited and ready to be parents, but at the same time, not so ready (who ever really is?). I am just nervous and especially nervous about delivering but that is all part of the process. Hope you are all well and let's hear from ya. Oh and our due date is August 4th, but as most people know that could change (we first thought it was July 30th).

Yay Rachel! Congratulations! What an exciting time! I loved being pregnant. There are certainly weird and unpleasant parts, but I loved having my baby so close all the time. I didn't throw up the whole pregnancy either, but right after I delivered, I made up for it! :) And you're right, there's really no way to be completely ready for a baby. You just have to have one! I'm so excited for you. Be sure to update your blog often!

We don't have any immediate plans to be in Twin Falls. I'll let you know next time we're there, though. It would be really fun to see you. It's been a long time!

Oh my goodness!! What an awesome surprise! Congratulations! You guys will make such cute parents and I hope this means you'll update your blog more often, haha. :) I expect to see all the belly "chubbs" (whatever, you couldn't have chubbs if you wanted to) pictures and all the ultrasound pictures too.

BTW, my blog background I got for free at finalsense.com and then I made the header bar from scratch using digital scrapbooking freebies from websites. I use a program called Microsoft Digital Image Suite (they don't make it anymore but you can still find it on eBay). And if you don't want to go to all that work, let me know and I can make one for ya! :)

Wow! Congratulations! You'll be a wonderful mother! I know what you mean about being nervous...I was and still am. I've noticed that it gets easier as time goes on though, so try not to sweat it too much. ;)

Congratulations and I am so happy for you! I'm also really glad you have a blog, now I can see what's going on in your life. I've discovered that while I'm terrible at emailing, I'm really good at staying in touch through blogging! I can't wait to look through the rest of your posts and see what fun things you've been doing. I just sent you an invite to our blog too. Congrats again and luv ya! Christy (Hill) Grigg.

I so hoped that this was the reason you hadn't posted in so long... that you were just waiting to make the big announcement! Congratulations!!! So glad to hear that you haven't been overly sick. It really does get better, and soon! I woke up one day, around the middle of week 14 and the nausea was gone! Hoping the same for you! I'm sure you'll get your perfect basketball belly. It will come with time. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow, but still just looking really overweight in my mid-section! But what can you do, other than just be so excited for your miracle on the way! I'm really so, so, so excited for you!!! Congratulations!!!!

Wahoo! What great news! I am thrilled for both of you. As for the morning sickness, it's true that it does go away - either around 4 months or, at the most, 9 =)! I can't wait to see your belly change over time. I'll get some pics posted this week so you can check them out - I'm almost 37 weeks.
